TADOMS Shed

TADOMS has a new official home.

After a lot of work on behalf of a small team of members, our new shed at the Oakey Showgrounds is finally finished. The official opening was held on 24th October 2020 where the member for Condamine, Pat Weir MP did the honours. We were also privileged to have the Toowoomba regional Council Mayor, Cr Paul Antonio in attendance. Although the weather didn’t cooperate, we managed to celebrate with a BBQ lunch, albeit a damp and muddy affair. It presented a chance to catch up with fellow members and chat about old machinery and latest projects after a long year of Covid 19 lockdowns and event cancelations. The shed was the result of a grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

We are still finalizing the shed and contents but have now installed air conditioning and held our first meeting there.  Plans are under way to move our library of workshop manuals and magazines into our compactus which was donated by Centenary Heights State High School.
